Paisley
More picture email… My brother-in-law Jim was walking his two dogs last night, Argyle and Paisley, two Scottish Terriers. Argyle, the black one, and Paisley, the blond wheaton one. Some crazy owners left their dog in a back yard, with a non functioning latch on the gate. Fucked-up-tard owners. The injuries you see are the results. Paisley had surgery to make sure that no internal organ damage occurred in the mauling. Thankfully there wasn’t. Jim? 23ish puncture wounds about his hands and arms, knees and elbows filled with road rash, and a tetanus shot to end his day. Argyle came out okay. My sister tells me he stood quietly by. …

Fireworks
Some fireworks from last year at Lake Estes – Estes Park, Colorado. Spent the day with Liz, her mom, Mike and Charlie. We got rained on and it was really cold. It was a last minute deal and were not expecting it to be 45 degrees… we were all shivering something fierce. The thing I love most about fireworks is the sound. If I am not right there where the boom matches the flash, well, it’s just not as much fun. My camera does not record sound, so I had to pick a tune for the video. Hope you enjoy.

Time
I just put up on a separate page an original play from a friend. John was one of the first people I met when I moved back to Denver. He lived upstairs from me, and we developed a good friendship. I took care of his cat when he was out of town, and he took care of mine. He was a professor, and a playwright. He told me that I was the nexus of Time Enough to Listen. Not sure about that, but perhaps he did put a bit of Scott in there. He moved away, we kept in touch. A few years ago, John died after a long battle…

Jen and JP
I put together a DVD slide show for Jen from her wedding back in October. I like iMovie in it’s simplicity. I like the clean no frills approach for format too. It can do Apple fancy, but I have yet to use any of the canned themes. They’re too cute… I had an idea for a slide show that looked like a Polaroid spitting out pictures. Even found an App that turns pictures into Polaroids but couldn’t get it to work the way I envisioned. I’m gonna work on another one with some different transitions, but have never been happy with cute. Sigh… Anyway…. I hope Jen and JP enjoy.…

vacation
Ugh… Going on vacation. Doing some traveling. Spending time with family. Doing some home repairs. Staying away from the office. Useless thing being contemplated while on vacation: 1)The pro’s/con’s of a double space after a period in writing. (Photo note: old pic of me, my sister and Mom in England.)

old family photo
Giving my Dad a refresher in scanning old photographs… This is Gram, Pappy, Sue the middle sister, and my Dad. Circa 1939/1940. Taken in front of the Aztec Ruins National Monument. Sometimes I can be mostly slightly impatient in tech support with my family. After I landed my current job, I think my father questioned how long I would last. Silently of course. Going on two plus years…. I love my customers.
