My Mother’s Hands

Thousands of tears wiped away
a caring touch never to fail
Held mightily when I was frightened
gently now that I am near
They stitched my clothes
	mended my wounds
Wrapped so many gifts
	unwrapped a few
Pushed me to climb always with caution
picked me up when I had fallen
Tickled me, cleaned me
	give me a squeeze
Now wrinkled and worn
	kindness still there
Though days gone past
	She will always care
Mom, please hold on to me
	as long as you can...
